Au contraire, I suggested that Apple actively facilitate the running of Windows on Mactel hardware. I have further suggested that there is a considerable body of anecdotal evidence that a number of Windows-only You can run Windows on an $800 box you built yourself. You're getting no sympathy here. Running Windows on Intel macs?
From the director-L Mailing list: "Some highlights - (physics based raycasting, terrain maps, concave collisions, 6dof joints, and all with faster performance - perhaps the most critical - it will all work on Vista and MacTel.)" (Allen Partridge, Director Evangelist...) Sounds like the best news for Director11 :)

Nope, it's deleted my existing Vista and given me Macintosh HD and Mac OS X only! Is there a way of rolling back the installation? besides, this is a Universal OS, not Mactel only, and I'm pretty certain it doesn't detect whether it's being installed on a PPC or Intel-based system, and displays installation

Windows VISTA for Virtual PC
So far there's little evidence of this happening, but it's early days for MacTel. Sorry? Just because they use the same processor doesnt mean they speak to the same APIs. That's not what I was referring to. Intel Macs can boot Windows XP using Apple's BootCamp. Alternatively, they can run Windows apps using an

I'm waiting for Leopard in the hope it'll do Vista before changing anything. Uh, BootCamp will do Vista. Oh cool. It didn't last time I checked. Still, Leopard should be out in 'Spring', ie soon(ish), Did you miss the announcement last week? In order to get the iPhone working properly Apple have taken engineers off

Dealing with customers issues getting a scanner to work on a MacTel under windows? Again not their problem ... who would you call if you had a Dell? Not Dell, they'd just pass you back to the scanner vendor. Apple would do the same. Dell has high support costs because they're obligated to support Windows;

"Apple: Mactels won't support Vista"
E' comunque vero che rispetto ad emulare Windows o "altri" sistemi operativi per processore x86 i Mac con processore Intel sono anni luce più versatili da questo punto di vista: vedo in particolar modo adatti il MacBook Pro e il Mac mini. Apple makes Macs run Windows XP -
Unless a good virtual machine implementation appears, this is curtains for Mactel in the business world. I hope the folks at VMWare are hard at work....it seems that virtual machines are the only solution we'll get for some time. I'd prefer Virtual PC went universal to a dual boot machine.

So, all in all, I wouldn't discard the ludicrous statement prematurely. I think the Lipsticked Vista Pig will fly before Apple becomes a Windows vendor. Thinking about Vista again.
There are even fewer drivers available for Vista, yet they have many more conflicts. It is especially silly to assert that Apple has a monopoly control compared to He asserts that Apple released 40 fixes to vulnerabilities in the Mactel OS. Bet he has a tough time coming up with that list. Still batting zero.

OS X and Vista running simultaneously (with Vista at native speed) on Mactel hardware would be, in my estimation, the most powerful personal computing solution yet devised. NX, my current raw converter of choice, does not run in Vista. Hence I can do nothing useful in Vista.
